Even when you don’t feel like it — hit the floor. Pick a number and stick to it. Today I didn’t get to draw as much as I would have liked. I didn’t even get warmed up enough to produce something I’m happy with…but I hit the floor.

I still learned something. And that information is valuable. Now I’m off to learn more stuff and take some huge steps to move my mission forward. Because I’m doing the work — every day.

Duration: 35m

Medium: Digital – Krita

What went well?
I started to loosen up and THINK less while I was working on my gestures, and that’s when I feel like they actually started to improve.

What didn’t go so well and what can I learn from that?
I didn’t have enough time to really get into a flow today because of my work-load. That’s alright, though. I’m committed. I’m ready. I’m able. And I’m doing the work.

I’d like to get back to some Nicolaides exercises tomorrow. I think I’m going to make a checklist of my drawing time so I have more structure in my practice. More structure == better internalization of information.
